Fire Extinguishers and Portable Equipment Service

We service and install a full line of fire extinguishers. We carry ABC Dry Chemical, BC Dry Chemical, CO2, Halotron, Halon 1211, Wet Chemical Kitchen, Class D and Water Fire Extinguishers. Our technicians are highly trained and state certified.

Amerisafe Inc. Fire & Safety is a mobile company, which means we come to you!

All fire extinguishers need to be inspected Annually.

 

1. VISUAL EXAMINATION: performed on the entire unit, carefully inspecting for dents, rust, corrosion, pitting or other shell damage
2. TEST/MAINTENANCE HISTORY: reviewed to determine the need for required internal maintenance or hydrostatic testing
3. PRESSURE GAUGE: checked to insure that the unit is fully pressurized
4. WEIGHT: the extinguisher is checked to insure the correct amount of extinguishing agent is in cylinder
5. DISCHARGE HOSE: removed to inspect for signs of blockage or damage
6. LOCKING PIN: removed to insure that the pin is easily removed in the event of an actual fire emergency
7. HANDLE/LEVER: checked for smooth discharge operation
8. INVERT/LOOSEN AGENT: using a rubber mallet, insuring a free flow of powder when the unit is operated
9. CLEAN EXTINGUISHER: using a degreasing solution
10. INSPECTION CERTIFICATION: documented by attaching a safety flag and service tag indicating the work performed
11. EXTINGUISHER: returned to the proper location
12. MOUTNING BRACKET: checked to insure extinguisher is installed securely on correct mounting hook or bracket
13. HAZARD APPLICATION: reviewed to make sure that the fire extinguisher is the correct type for a potential fire hazard
